On December 8, NOAA Ocean Exploration completed the final expedition of 2023 on NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer. The ship will undergo repairs and testing through March 2024 before transiting to the Hawaiian Islands at the end of April where we will begin work in the central Pacific region. Stay tuned for information on our 2024 expedition plans!
NOAA Ship Okeanos Explorer is the only federal vessel dedicated to exploring our largely unknown ocean for the purpose of discovery and the advancement of knowledge about the deep ocean.
